BGIS: the India series timeline
BGIS has produced a changing list of champions across editions. Skylightz Gaming won the 2021 edition, whose finals took place in January 2022. Team SouL won the 2022 edition, Gladiators Esports won in 2023, and Team XSpark took the 2024 title. The 2025 final crowned Team Versatile at Kolkata’s Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan.
KRAFTON India’s official esports coverage identifies iQOO Soul as the BGIS 2026 champion. This is a completed 2026 result, not a prediction; confirm exact final points and individual awards from the tournament’s complete event record before quoting them.
BGMS: a separate Masters Series
BGMS has its own seasonal champions. Global Esports won Season 1 in 2022, Gladiators Esports won Season 2 in 2023, Team SouL won Season 3 in 2024, K9 Esports took Season 4 in 2025 and Nebula Esports won Season 5 in 2026 according to published series summaries.
This separate table matters because BGIS and BGMS can be won by different teams in the same year. A headline such as “BGMI champion” is incomplete without the tournament name, season and grand-final context.
How to read a BGMI result
A competitive final leaderboard is usually the sum of placement points and elimination points across a defined set of matches. Teams can win through a balanced set of high placements and eliminations, not necessarily by having the most eliminations in every match. Format and scoring can change between editions, so consult the ruleset for the year you are reviewing.
Team name changes and roster changes can complicate historical comparisons. This article records the champion organisation/team name used in the event recap and does not assume that a later roster is identical to the winning lineup.
BGMI, PUBG Mobile and PUBG PC are distinct
BGMI is the Indian mobile release and has its own national events. PUBG Mobile global events have different organisers, regions and eligibility rules, while PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS PC uses the PUBG Esports circuit. Do not combine their results under a single “PUBG champion” label without naming the actual game and event. PUBG Mobile’s global championship has a separate PMGC winner timeline; it should not be combined with BGIS or BGMS results.
For the PC championship timeline, see PUBG Global Championship history. For another mobile Battle Royale circuit, read the Free Fire World Series history.
