2020–2021: Nova Esports begins the PMGC era

Nova Esports won both the 2020 and 2021 PMGC editions. The first event ran through late 2020 and January 2021, while the second season’s finals concluded in January 2022. Calendar-year labels can therefore differ from the year in which the final match was actually played.

These were PUBG Mobile mobile-game championships. They must not be entered into a PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS PC PGC results list, even though the titles share a franchise and a broad Battle Royale format.

2022–2024: S2G Esports, IHC Esports and Dplus KIA

S2G Esports won PMGC 2022, whose finals concluded in January 2023. IHC Esports won the 2023 championship, while Dplus KIA claimed the 2024 title. Those are distinct yearly editions, with their own qualifiers, stages and rosters.

When comparing global mobile teams, note the final event and the year of the season. A league title, regional championship or PUBG Mobile World Cup win is important, but it is not automatically a PMGC crown. The event name belongs next to the champion in any history or trophy list.

2025: Alpha7 Esports takes the global title

Alpha7 Esports won PMGC 2025 in Thailand. The event concluded on 14 December 2025 and Alpha7 finished ahead of ULF Esports in the grand-final standings, according to the tournament history record. The result is the most recent completed PMGC championship as of this article’s review date.

PMGC 2026 is scheduled to return later in 2026, but as of 23 October the event is not yet complete. A live-updating historical article should never label a scheduled event a champion before the grand final is finished and the organiser confirms the result.

PMGC, PUBG PC and BGMI are different circuits

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS PC’s headline year-end event is the PUBG Global Championship (PGC), while PUBG Mobile’s global year-end title is PMGC. BGMI serves India’s mobile market and has a separate national series including BGIS and BGMS. Similar names are easy to mix up in social posts, so identify the game and event in every result.
